When children around here say, “I am hungry”, I have about 20 minutes before full-on HANGRY sets in. This recipe was a think-on-the-spot meal.
The Ingredients
The majority of the ingredients can be found at Costco.
I use:
-The huge packs of noodles that come 8 in a pack. The price is a little over $1 a bag and the taste is almost homemade. Only need 1 pack.
-The grass-fed butter melts great and doesn’t have an oily texture when melted.
-I purchase whole garlic cloves with roots attached to the bottom from my local grocery store. This is an indication that they are local or from the US.
Let’s Get To The Recipe
Boil the noodles until they are tender.
This is about 8-10 minutes.
(Each person has their specifications on how they like their noodles.)
I like them when they are tender enough not to stick to my teeth.
Prepare The Garlic Butter:
In a saucepan, melt 5-7 tablespoons of butter on low heat.
Peel 4-7 cloves of garlic and garlic press into the melted butter. Cook for about 4-5 minutes.
(You can also saute the garlic in a tablespoon of butter before adding to the remainder of the butter. This will loosen up the oils in the garlic for a more rich flavor.)
Add 2 tsp of salt and a few shakes of pepper.
When Everything Is Cooked:
Mix the noodles and the garlic butter and enjoy, or elevate it!
Elevate It:
-Add parmesan cheese to the mix to give it more texture.
-Mix in broccoli for a more nutritious approach.
-Add fresh herbs of your choice for a subtle flavor profile.
-Mix in your favorite spaghetti sauce to give it a robust flavor.
